In
spring of 1997, runner and triathlon competitor Bob Molsberry was riding
his bicycle as part of his training for the summer racing season. Struck
from behind by a hit-and-run driver, he was left in a coma for six
weeks. He neither saw nor heard the vehicle that nearly killed him and
that made him a paraplegic. Yet despite the accident, Bob’s faith
remains strong. Bob is the author of "Blindsided by Grace: Entering the
World of Disability." (Augsburg- Fortress 2004) Bob believes that
healing can come in the form of hope, a feeling of wholeness, or
inclusion in the community. Bob currently serves as pastor of the United
Church of Christ in Grinnell, Iowa, the town where he grew up. |
