Rev. Dr. Gary L. Harbaugh, is Professor
Emeritus of Pastoral Care, Trinity Lutheran Seminary, and was a Care
for Caregiver pastoral resource minister for Lutheran Disaster
Response, 1992-2002. With Lutheran Disaster Reponse directors Leon
Phillips and Gilbert Furst, Dr. Harbaugh served around the United
States and in the Caribbean after such natural disasters as
hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, floods, and earthquakes, and also after
other disasters, such as the Oklahoma City bombing and 9/11 in
Washington, D.C. and New York City. His books include The Confident Christian, God’s Gifted People, and Pastor
as Person. His book about recovery from disasters, Act of
God/Active God, is available from Augsburg Fortress. |
