Linda Schroeder is the Executive Director of Project COPE, an ecumenical ministry in St. Louis, Missouri, which partners congregations or small groups within congregations, with newly released prisoners. For the past two decades, Linda has dedicated herself to helping ex-offenders through an innovative program called Project COPE (Congregations + Offender Partnership Enterprise). COPE consists of 37 congregational teams that are matched with newly released ex-offenders, whom Linda has carefully screened. Linda, with her husband, Rev. Ted Schroeder are the recipients of the 2004 St. Louis Humanists of the Year, an honor given by the St. Louis Ethical Society.
