Doblmeier, the President and founder of Journey Films, combines a
lifelong interest in religion with a passion for journalism. Over the
past twenty years, he has traveled on location to over forty countries
to profile numerous religious leaders, religious communities, heads of
state, and Nobel Laureates. His documentaries examine how spiritual
faith leads individuals to extraordinary actions; how spirituality
creates and sustains communities; and how religion evolves to meet the
needs of a changing society.
Martin enjoys discussing his film-making process
and the themes raised by his documentaries. In the last two years Martin
has been a featured speaker or presented films and led discussions in
more than 75 churches, synagogues and theaters across America. He has
been been a guest on numerous programs including NPR's The Diane Rhem
Show, The Scott Simon Show, Eye to Eye with Connie Chung and CNN's
Showbiz Today.
